flying insectflying insectOK boys and girls listen up. If you are going to go and check out our wildlife and our great surround vision scenery and you want to protect yourself from our biting insects the first thing you need to do is start your day with a shower. With your shower taken now it is time to get down to the nitty-gritty. Ladies absolutely no hair spray! Boys pass on any after shave and any kind of cologne. Girls and boys use only unscented deodorants. And ladies absolutely no body lotions of any kind in fact no make-up of any kind. On this day you will need to go all natural. By that I do not mean in your birthday suit especially those of you over 35, that suit probably is in need of some serious ironing before it is brought out in public anyway. And last but not least use an insect repellant that contains deet. On the plus side you don't have to worry about rattlesnakes in the Great North Woods like you do in the southern part of NH. At least I have never seen a rattlesnake up here like I have in southern NH.I have seen two timber rattlers in the time I lived there one slithering by my foot when I was about twelve years old and another that a neighbor shot in his front yard and hung in a tree. That one was over five feet long. Of course that doesn't mean that they are not here. I have never seen a Bigfoot up here either but they must be here. I believe they must exist, some type of Bigfoot creature, be it a Yeti, Sasquatch or Abominable Snowman has been sighted all over the world for centuries. We know they are ape like and would most likely have an ape size brain, but even with the smallest of brain they would still be smart enough to know that the Great North Woods is "the place to be" so they must be here. Ok now you know how to keep our insects from bugging you, ha ha ha get it! I crack me up.
