Last bike ride of the fall for the year of 2005

My last ride was a great one. About sixteen miles, and I hit some places that were at there very best. This ride went from my place in West Stewartstown south to the Colebrook area and I could not have asked for a better day. Believe it or not the picture of the truck in the snow was taken about twenty five miles north of my place and only two weeks later, that is how fast the weather changes up here in the Great North Woods. That was our first snow storm of the fall and it sure made things look clear and pure. Gotta love that first few snow storms. However you will notice a different attitude from me along about January. I am not a fan of the cold winter but it is still better then the boring terrain in the warmer flatlands like Florida. So we take the good with the bad, and living in the Great North Woods is about as good as it gets. Even know the winter can be brutally cold and snowy I still would recommend everyone get their butts up here at least once each winter. Because even in the winter with the cold and all the snow it is still one of the most beautiful places on earth. If I was to pick a time for you to come up I would say in February, we still get fresh snow but the sun is out more and it is getting closer to the earth so it feel warmer. The deer are still in the yards so you will get to see a lot of wild deer.

Now to my tale of whoa, the reason I have not been able to update my web page. It happened about the first of November I was out getting a little shoplifting ----I mean shopping done and some fool wished me a Merry Christmas. Can you believe that we haven't gotten past Thanksgiving and I think I said something like bah-humbug, no big deal right? Out of nowhere this evil short fat guy in a red suit jumps on me knocks me to the ground and proceeds to pummel the crap out of me. If that is not bad enough these eight reindeer or what looked like reindeer that he had with him started kicking and stomping me into the ground. Good thing they were on the tiny side or they could have killed me. Come on! Was I wrong? It was much to early to talk about Christmas right? So that is the reason that I couldn't work at the computer. I didn't have any broken bones but my arm and fingers were pretty bruised and to sore and stiff to type until today. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Now check out the pictures below, as always click on the thumbnails to see the big picture.
