May 18th trip to Saint Mary lake area in East Glacier National Park an those people.

And what a great trip it was, like living in a National Graphics special. I saw some beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife. I find myself wanting to say that the beauty and the abundant wildlife are both a blessing and a curse but that phase has been said so many times about so many things that I won't say that. The pressure and stress of being a new Montana resident is unbelievable to say the least. I know you probably wounder what I mean by that so let me explain. The scenery here in Montana is so beautiful that you want to stop and take another picture every twenty feet that is when the pressure and stress comes into play. To stop or not to stop that is the question. Will the picture be better twenty feet up the road or maybe it was better fifty feet back down the road? Should I go back for a second look? I could go on and on about the beauty that is Montana forever but I would like to get this posted before my days on this side of the sod come to an end. I started writing this on May 19th it is now June 27th I hope I get this finished before July 30th. The Going To The Sun Road in Glacier Park opened yesterday Friday the 26th of June. This is what I have been waiting for, I had hoped that it would open a bit earlier so I could get in a few weekdays camping before the first two weeks of July, the big vacation weeks. So now the new plan is to go camping on the third week of July weather permitting. I have to do some research on campgrounds in Glacier Park. I'm looking for a campground that is tents only so I don't have to camp with those people. Those people know who they are! For those that don't know to whom I am referring, I am referring to the RVers and the camping trailer people that flood the campgrounds every summer with their Stereos, TVs and cell phones. Let me tell you why I don't want to camp with those people. The first thing they do is surround all the tents, I know your thinking whats wrong with that they are protecting you, think again that is not what they are doing read on. They surround us then wait for the grizzles to come, and they will come! They know the grizzles will head for the easy open tents and start dragging out the sleeping tenters. All of those people will climb to the top of their circled campers that now resemble the old Roman Coliseum. They will root for us to put up a good fight but they want to see the grizzles win the fight. They sit on top of their campers on the edge of their seats waiting for the bears to pause and look up for their sign, thumbs down eat the SOB, thumbs up he or she put up a good fight spit him or her out let them live to fight another day. To those people this activity is a cross between throwing the Christren's to the lions and the Gladiator fights. Now you know the true story and why I don't want to camp with those people. With that said let me add that I exercise my thumbs everyday should I get the money and have the chance to become one of those people. Scroll down to see the pictures I took on my May 18th trip to Saint Mary lake in east Glacier National Park. Most of these pictures were taken on the first 13 miles of the Going To The Sun Road, that is all that was open on this day. The bear and the ewes were taken on Many Glaciers Road in East Glacier. Can't wait to go back and see all of the Going To The Sun Road now that it is open.
