My last post from the Great North Woods
The Layz1 will be spending this winter in the Great southern Asphalt Jungle in Manchester NH close to where I spent most of my younger years, Candia NH. However I will still be posting to my web site during the winter. I hope to get to Hampton Beach and post some pictures of the beach in the dead of winter. I will be taking my Granddaughter for a picnic on the beach in February something we did every year when I lived in southern NH. I love the beach but hate crowds so I only like to go in the winter when you have the whole beach to yourself. I will also post some pictures of the big noreasters that hit the southern part of the state. Bigger then most any that I have seen in the Great North Woods in the twelve years that I have been here. The noreasters, like hurracains slow down or die out when they hit the mountains. They just can't seem to get over the peaks in full force. Now that you know my winter plans this is what I hope the spring and summer will bring for this curmudgeon. If my vets give me a clean bill of health or at least tell me I won't need any more surgury on my corotid arteies for at least six months then the plan is to go to Great Falls Montana for five or six months. Then I hope to see and post pictures of wildlife that is not seen in New England. Now on with the show.
The winter has come to the high country of the Great North Woods as you can tell by the pictures below.

Mr.moose came out of the woods yesterday to bid me adieu. Makes one think he knew that it would be my last trip up to the moose crossing for a long time to come. He was a big bull in stature but small on the antlers, this makes me think that he is a young bull. As you can see it looks like he is praying for an easy winter or it could be that he is praying that his favorite curmudgeon the Layz1 will change his mind and stay in the Great North Woods. Then again he could be bowing to the greatness that is I. Don't laugh it could happen. Enjoy Mr. Moose below.
